Sitting together eating together.Alpana of Bengal developed from a traditional ritualistic household activity, has grown into the form of art by the practice of Santiniketan School. I have taken the basic concept of floor design from Alpana and through personal exercises of execution developed projects.

BUTTI

"Butti" is a word from kannada.

In villages, mostly farmers or any other people who work in the farms carry their meal wrapped in a piece of cloth. This is called as "Butti" and the word itself signifies as meal. My new work is based on this concept.
